We are reaching out to inform you that we are taking the spread of COVID-19 very seriously here at Pied Piper Pest Control, Inc. During this time of uncertainty, we want to assure you that the well-being and safety of our community is one of our top priorities. In that respect, according to the Department of Homeland Security, Pest Control has been deemed an essential service. Certain insects and rodents can be vectors in spreading disease, and we are needed in helping control situations so that they don’t get out of hand.

Regular Home & Business Services Will Resume, With Slight Adjustments

In the coming weeks, we plan on continuing our regular home and business services; however, we will be adjusting the way we perform some of these services to be more in accordance with what our President and local officials are requiring as far as social distancing.

As far as quarterly pest control is concerned, we will not be performing interior service unless absolutely necessary – i.e., biting or stinging insects or a rodent problem – but will instead be performing exterior services only for the next month or two. This is not a substandard service but is, in fact, very effective service in keeping the insects out of your homes and businesses. We will resume interior services as soon as the social distancing rule is lifted for our area.

Technicians Equipped With The Proper Protective Equipment & Gear

Our technicians that do enter into homes and businesses will be equipped with the appropriate precautionary equipment to keep all in concern as safe and healthy as possible.  Also, our technicians are instructed to wash and sanitize before and after every service they perform. And for everyone’s’ safety, they are asking that only one or two people be in the house during treatment and stay 10 feet away.  If there is a house full of people, you will be asked for all but one or two people to step outside while the tech enters for treatment.  Also, in accordance with social distancing, we have instructed our techs to not shake hands with or anyone.

As an added value, here are areas that we are going to focus on for you:

1) As mentioned, we are serious about monitoring the health of our staff and anyone else in contact with our staff. As recommended by the CDC in order to limit contact, we are not going to be scheduling any or our technicians for work if there are any known cold or flu-like symptoms, or if any family member, friend, or other close contacts of that employee has known symptoms.
2) Please inform our office staff if you have an appointment scheduled and you or anyone in your family or household are showing signs of any of the symptoms of the Coronavirus or flu-like symptoms. The WHO has identified current symptoms like shortness of breath, fever, and persistent cough. Please inform us if anyone in the household has tested positive for the Coronavirus.
3) The CDC is providing continuous updates at the following website: https://www.cdc.gov
4) If we find any changes in our scheduling are necessary during this time, we will do our best to let you our customers know with as much time as possible.
Please call our office at (504)366-1333  or utilize our contact form if you have any questions or concerns regarding any upcoming appointments.
